This cleaner has a timer setting and a separate OPN and OFF switches. It does not depend on opening or closing the lid. The lid is transparent so I can see the water shaking around my glasses that needed cleaning Keep the tank filled up and it will work vigorously, better than a previous model. PS this is not the cheaper model on crazy-sale I am happy

I order the Maxkon Ultrasonic Jewellery Cleaner on the Monday before Christmas and it arrived Christmas Eve. I don't believe you could get better service. My jewellery looks lovely a bright and sparkly now. Product is as described.
