Auto pet feeders

I have not got my new pets yet so have not used them however they look like the picture and are quite large. When I took them from the box I found a red "stopper" loose in there pack. There are also zero instructions. I thought these would be good for the chooks I intend to get and not being someone who has had any pets I have no idea how these are supposed to work or what makes them automatic. Now there is a hole in one of the feeders that the stopper fits into but if you blocked it that would not allow anything to come out so Im not sure what the purpose is. Anyhow thats why I only gave it 4 stars.
