This is a lovely mat with multiply uses I did actually buy this item for myself not my dog as I am suffering from the heat and wanted something to help regulate my temperature I am able to place this in the fridge to make it real cold. If by chance I decide not to continue to use this mat my dog can as it is highly durable.
