once the chickens realised how to use it, it was a winner. They were scared of it initially until they worked out if they stayed on the platform they would be able to eat their food. The dog wasn't able to eat their food although we did have the occasional pigeon stuck in there with the lid down on top of them.

Since 2018 until now 2022, we are still using the item for our pet ducks. Durable> Would totally recommend it to anyone with backyard chicken or ducks.

This has made the chicken feeding so much easier! I still make sure the feed is coming down well every day, and swish my hand in it, if I want more to come down. As less food is in the back, you may need to check on that more. However, I would feel comfortable getting away for a weekend and know that rodents aren

I've had it a while now and had time to observe it and decide if I like it. After the chickens got used to how it works I think it is great. No more wasted feed. Also I haven't seen squirrels or mice figure out how to steal food out of it. Time will tell how long it lasts before it breaks or needs replaced.
