I have found this item to be a god send. previously my hens were wasting their food all over the floor of the hen house, now they eat what they want without spreading it everywhere. It took a couple of days training till they could operate the mechanism themselves and I only have to fill up every 3 days.

This item is well made, small assembly required, the chickens are slowly getting used to it, and learning to open it, Design is waterproof and rodent safe. Would recommend this product.

Chook feeder work great, robust and well made. took the fowls a day or so to work it out. but now i'm only feeding them not the vermin or sparrows

These feeders are a great idea and work for a lot of people. I love the idea of less waste and no access for rodents and other backyard birds (such as the pigeons). For my girls, it was very difficult to teach them to use it. I looked up different ways to teach them and tried a whole bunch out. It just didn't work for us. I didn't end up not using it in the end. The foot stand where they need to stand to open the lid was glossy and not ideal for little feet to grip onto - particularly when first stepping onto something new. It could do with a little bit of a design review to make it a little more chicken friendly.

love it I have a smaller one but this one holds more feed and it really keeps the rats out.
